I've shaded Kristinka in the past with the stadard XSi hair shader, but I see nothing when I apply that shader to Melena strands. Is there another node I need to add to the ICE tree?

Did you reported it or sent the CER? This would help. Most of the time I don't get a report box. If I did report it, I wouldn't be able to specify a series of events to duplicate it, because it's always something random. Although I have noticed many of my crashes have come from weight map painting....

Just got a crash switching to animation construction mode. This is without a doubt the most unstable version of XSi I've seen since 2010.

I would abandon it all together if I didn't have so much money tied up in it --plus all my plugin purchases.

A lot of crashing with weight map painting is what I'm noticing.

Maybe better luck with sp1.

Can anyone from support give me some help on this one? I just reloaded the scene again today, and the cache won't read. Even worse, when I re-cache, it doesn't come out the same as yesterday, so now I have to re-render everything.

I think the problem was around in previous versions...but I did a particle sim earlier and rendered half the scene. When I reloaded the scene later in the day, the sim wouldn't read properly, even though the files were still in the right place. I had to re-cache and then it worked.
