Re: Some news from Siggraph
I have a question for those who use maya also... are opensubdivsfully supported now? Do you guys have some good article on transition from max/softimage to maya? Can you bind S as navigation? Are the particles procedural with nodes like SI? are there sticky keys? All big studio around me are either ...

Re: Some news from Siggraph
Luc do you actually use 3ds max or just reading what's new readme? I use it almost everyday since version 2.5. performance - worst of all 3d app on the market? I don't see any improvements!! In some areas are even worst than few versions back. Yeah it's great with few multimillion modells...later yo...

Using curves in xsi can lead to nervous breakdown. I would rather do it in max, in xsi I would stick with subdivion surfaces...

Re: Softimage and tablet
Thanks for the links. I have tried those before with no success. It seems to me that the problem is in Softimage, as there is no such behavior for example in Maya or Blender. Those links doesnt give you solution but as this guy wrote, you CANT DISABLE dynamic pen feedback and press and hold in wind...

Re: FumeFX for Softimage in Beta?
Fume is now standalone plugin so maybe its mr.core's integration? Would be great since Mootz moved to market where he can actually earn money (MODO) ?

Re: Best modeling practices on SI for a LW user?
Duplicate polygons op in case of copying polys inside one mesh.
ICE topo merge in case of copying from one to another mesh. But you would need to script UV/other maps copying.
Would be cool if someone could write one-click solution for this, so we all can forget about Merge op.

Re: Change the selection that a specific stack operator is using
All topo ops create clusters but they are hidden. I don't think you can change them tho. If u're long time max user like me you will see pros and convs of both stack workflows (dunno about blender). Max dynamic selection (eg procedural volume select) is very cool and you can duplicate such workflow ...

Re: LivePaint plugin
May I ask how did you solve undo problem? I'm in same position, that is for particle brush plugin I set iceattribute values and obviously undo doesn't work. Do you save pointposition array in some backup array and save it somewhere when tool exits?
