Re: HDRI Light Studio for Softimage
xsi_fanatic: Here is the story: Last year I was negotiating with Lightmap to write the live connection plugin for HDRLS and Softimage. Then Autodesk did what they did and Lightmap cancelled before I got started. I decided to go ahead and create the plugin anyway for my own use, with the approval of ...

Re: The Future is Bright! HoloLens + Maya
OK that was pretty cool. Remains to be seen how useful it will be for actually working. But it's easy to imagine how this would be nice for showing a design to a client.

Re: HDRI Light Studio for Softimage
Yes I do. Sorry I haven't had time to take care of it yet. Funny thing is it worked fine during most of the beta cycle. I'll get to it as soon as I can.xeraphine wrote:Hi BenR, have u planned to support HDR Light Studio 5? Thanks

Re: AD: Subscription Transition for New Software Licenses
And here's the FAQ 3.6 How long can current Maintenance Subscription customers remain on Maintenance Subscription? While Autodesk is announcing our plans to discontinue the sale of new perpetual seals, we are not eliminating Maintenance Subscription. Maintenance Subscription customers that remain in...

Re: Partio for Softimage
As Hirazi mentioned it is most often a missing Visual C++ runtime. Running the plugin dll through Depends.exe shows that it requires dll's from the Visual C++ redistributable for Visual Studio 2013. So you could use Depends.exe to confirm that those are the missing components on your computer, or yo...

Re: DEMO: Sketch-Based Generation and Editing of Quad Meshes
Has anyone tried just using the redistributable?

I would hope that would work, though I already had a version of VS2013 installed.

I have various versions of Visual Studio installed and didn't install anything extra besides Zenity.
Where are you getting the error message? Did you try Depends.exe?

Very cool. Too bad about the restrictive license though (research only). Seems to be working here. Maybe you should just try installing the vc redistributable anyway.

HDRI Light Studio for Softimage
I am happy to share this addon for using HDRI Light Studio with Softimage. It allows interactive creation and adjustment of HDRI's from within Softimage. I really enjoy using it for lighting. For obvious reasons the makers of HDRI Light Studio did not feel they could support a Softimage plugin. I am...

Very interesting. I wonder what this will mean in terms of development of DaVinci Resolve. Resolve 11 now has editing capabilities in addition to color grading. Also there is a free version which is very capable.

I don't seem to have it either and didn't receive the email. I also have the Maya Softimage migration license.
