Re: Blend transforms
hmm - do not get it I guess, but what do you want to transform?
Geometry or Particles?
If geo, try stBlend, if Particles, get PointPositions and put them into blend?

Raycast, filter by Cluster
Hey
just trying to raycast a grid on a surface but need that only edges/polys/points get effected.
I did try to filter the cluster but somehow it will not work.
What do I have to filter to receive that effect?
Thx,
sant0s

Re: Kinda MipMapping, but different
moin :) first, thx for you answer. Point is, that I use elevation Data, satellite images, water maps, ect - and all fit together if I layer them. I get the data from a GIS software that has always square tiling. The globe on the image has 8*8 subdivisions, the image is made from 64 tiles. If i zoom ...

Kinda MipMapping, but different
Hi, actually MipMapping is for the same texture but for different resolutions, right? Means, as closer I get, the higher resolutions gets choosen, but the texture is the same. But what, if I have something like in the image I attached? Is there a clever and fast way to get that to work? Because I ha...

Re: 7x7 Grids with textures to Sphere
@Pancho and NNois, will try that - thank you so far. @rray: yea, we did that and Photoshop can handle 35k images. But if I get it to run with that setup, I could also use bigger files and dont need any blending tricks while flying from space to earth and than I have close to 60k. And we had problems...

Re: 7x7 Grids with textures to Sphere
first, thx! :) but Ill try to explaint it a bit better: If i use a NASA world map like this, http://eoimages.gsfc.nasa.gov/images/imagerecords/57000/57752/land_shallow_topo_2048.jpg , the streching of the continents is almost correct and I can wrap it around a sphere. But I have a mercator projectio...

Re: 7x7 Grids with textures to Sphere
we did this. the problem is, that I cannot strech the image as one part after I merged the grids, the 49 pieces move independent.

7x7 Grids with textures to Sphere
Hey guys, wondering if this is possible: I have 7x7 grids aligned, each has a texture of a part of the world map. Now I would like the result image of all 49 grids, projected on a sphere with a spherical texture control. Dunno if you understand what I mean :) Problem is, that each texture is 5k and ...

Re: XSI-->Nuke
hey :) maybe I missed something, but have a problem with my camera after exporting. Opening a new scene, animating the camera and add some stuff and export it to nuke works like a charme. Now I tried it with a scene I was working on some time ago and get wrong camere movements. First the camera is d...

Store Color in Channels & Ref.Models
Hi :) i just realized the power of that great node and was changing my materials in a model. But then I concluded, that my referenced model did not get the render channels in it. Can I export the settings in a file or do I realy have to save preset of every material and load it back in my ref model?...

Re: Various useful compounds
the "Create Copies along Curve" rocks and i was trying to do something similar the last days - it works but your is much more smooth!
have you tried making a strand version? same thing that you can do with that compound, but with strands made out of a curve.
