Re: Move an object to the ground
I was playing around with the native Align Object tool under the Transform panel and although it requires at least 2 objects, someone could use it in a script with user input specifying the 2nd object if a grid object sets the Y where the bottom of the sphere's bounding box is transformed to the gri...

Re: Help applying IK on null rig
You can restore IK by using the null chains as a snap guide to redraw 2d bone chains and rename the new bones accordingly. Then you could save a weight preset and envelope the mesh to the new skeleton and apply the preset or you could just constrain the null chains to the 2d bone chains.

Re: Straighten uuv grid script?
You can drag the script into a toolbar and make a script button.
Tag some points in the Texture Editor and run the script.
Pick a corner point on the left side of your selection.
Set your options in the ppg and press OK.

Re: Normals from Geometry Approximation?
I'm using Mod Tool 7.5 so I don't think there is a "set user normals->user" command for baking Discontinuity to User normals. Every export format seems to ignore normals set through GeoApprox even when User normals is ticked which is a shame because I really like the quick and accurate res...

Normals from Geometry Approximation?
Hi, in 7.5 is there a way to export a mesh with normals set by Geometry Approximation other than using FXNut_SaveRenderMesh?
I guess i'm just wondering if there is a way to bake the normals so you can export the mesh to any capable format.
Anyone have or know of a script or something?

Re: Warning about Vimeo for those that make tutorials
I can see this becoming a huge mess if this affects all members with existing tutorial videos. Maybe it only applies to new videos uploaded and we won't have to scramble to download all of the ones there already. :-?? I'm glad I didn't move everything from my Youtube channel to Vimeo now that this i...

I've tried this ... Thanks for posting that link, it solved the mystery of the annoying error in the red bar on every startup caused by RefreshCustomPreferences() on line 37 in objDnD.py in Steven Caron's objDnD plugin. I commented it out to make the error go away. Love the plugin, disliked the err...
