Re: CrowdFX People Attending Ceremony

Hey Frank I miss understood your question. To add new characters go under Actors > Inspect Actor Proxies. From there you can inspect actors that make up the sim, add new ones from your scene or import models from elsewhere. A cheap way to setup actors is to drop a default pedestrian and gator to you...

Re: CrowdFX People Attending Ceremony

Hi frank, it seems to me that this would be as simple as using a weightmap to drive emission. As for them all be point to and looking at the center of the room, you could set the orientation of paricles to point at that given spot (to drive the body orientation), and then use corwdfx look at constra...

Re: SI & MotionBuilder

does your OS uses coma (,) for decimals? you might want to change that to point instead. apparently both Face Robot, Motor and anything mocap in SI has a problem with that. I think I've filed a bug for that at some point... don't know how it is going

It cant do curls and rolling waves, but it will spit some Lagoa particles for your viewing pleasure :D It served quite well on a little stude...

Re: Simple SSS not rendering

Hey Pancho. Yes, mix node it is, BUT, not in add mode. Light either reflects, absorbs, scatters or refracts, so you really want to mix inbetween one or the other NOT ADDem together. It will work for refraction or reflection. (tip, there is a node called dieletric, which will let you do fresnel like ...

Re: pointset to geometry

You could store the current positions from the geometry you want to look up in a temporary attribute, change the pointpositions, look-it-up, and use the temporary attribute to retrieve the original positions. You can do all this from within your current ICEtree, this will generate a instance of this...

Re: Strand Collision Framework

Hey Roughy it has been a long time since your first Vimeo post on this. I am very glad you eventually got to share it. Even though you warn us about the downsides, the videos show a lot of good stuff. Hopefully I'll have time to play with this sooner then later.

Best regards, and again thanks!
