Re: How to -precisely- post the forum thumbnail preview at the top bar?

Yes all manual I mean it's total 5 minutes of work per month or so. (It wasn't worth creating a special form which would've taken one or two hours probably)

Re: STAY SAFE, SANE & HEALTHY!!!

Thanks, same to you! !

About the sane part, it seems important for everyone to be able to communicate during these days, too - so our little XSI board could be of some use here, too.

Re: Sitoa. Create Ceiling Light

I'm not well versed with Arnold, but as a more general solution, you could try disconnecting all edges so the normals will not be merged.

Apart from that, I guess the amount of realism will be better the more things are reflected in the lamp, so with the finished room it will look the best.

Re: How to -precisely- post the forum thumbnail preview at the top bar?

That's how it works with the new forum too. if you have a suggestion, just post it here or write a pm to HB, owei or me and one of us will make a thumbnail and upload it and have it link to the thread, presumed the art is not too hideous :) For extra convenience you could directly send a thumbnail w...

Re: RizomUV (old name Unfold3d) -can anyone coding c ++ RizomUV for SOFTIMAGE ?!

Unfold3D is part of XSI but from some videos I saw on this one, it is much improved by now so this would be quite welcome to have, with all the new packing and fast unwrapping. But my guess is that no one with both a XSI and an Rizom license (and enough C++ skills..) exists (The copy/paste between a...

Re: pointcloud meshing trouble

You'll find some items when you search for convex hull in the resources, but that's only for the points on the outside of your point cloud. Haven't seen an algorithm yet that connects every point with a mesh. You could repeat the convex hull process, remove the points used, then continue building co...

Re: C++ Importer Weirdness

Makes a lot of sense. the GeometryAccessor (export) and CMeshBuilder (import) were a few of the last things that were updated in XSI before development was stopped, they're really fast.

Re: OBJ+STL import export

Just updated this plugin. Point order is kept now when importing OBJ. The importer can be used to import zbrush meshes, rig & pose in XSI, then send back to zbrush as a base mesh without GoZ.
