The sky should give you much more light than you show on your render.
It's a bit odd..
For the burnout start tweaking the tonemapper to see if that will help.
Are you working in a linear workflow btw??

Re: Realistic Phisical Sun setting
Why is it so dark?
Shouldn't it be much brighter with a sun/sky system?

Re: Realistic Phisical Sun setting
Well.... Your information is a bit... not informative ;-) What did you do so far, workflow? can you supply a screenshot of the part that doesn't look right? What kind of effect did you expect? What kind of shader setup are you rendering? What are your settings of the various PPG's? etc. etc. etc. rob

Re: Geometry Shader for the hidden Options in mr 3.8
Vray beta was calling for betatesters a while ago, because they didn't have enough people testing the builds, so that might hurt the development on Vray for SI. FinalRender, I gave up on that. I don't think it will ever see the light of day. My best bet on a renderer for SI, other than 3DLight, that...

Re: Need help rendering strands
If you want trails, you still have to connect a 'generate strand trails' node. Be sure to set the max.# of segments to a high'ish number.
Or maybe I'm wrong and you want something else.

Re: SI 2011 install and running Wacom drivers - BEWARE
Hi all,
I've found Wacom driver version 6.12.5 to be the one, now everything works on a Wacom without crashing
Maybe it will help somebody out in the future.

Hi,
Yes, I forgot to mention I'm running Vistax64. Although I was very tempted at one point to install Win7. I still have that DVD lying around for a quit day ;-)

SI 2011 install and running Wacom drivers - BEWARE
Hi all, I just wanted to post this here as this took me a day to figure out in the end, I figured my NVIDIA update was the problem at first, but after several driver rollbacks, cleanups and reinstalls, system restores and such I ended up at the Wacom driver. It wasn't a suspect at first as it was wo...

Re: Displacement in viewport
If it's not too complex, you could use a push opp on a texture, and see it in the viewport.

Re: ICE for architects
If they're still there, the ICE video's from Graig Slagel on the AREA are pretty good for a introduction into ICE, and if I'm not mistaken, this full set was supposed to be served on RediVivus as well.

Re: keyframe a latice
Depending on the level of control you need, you could try to set up clusters (with center) on parts of the lattice, and animate those instead.

You seem to pop up on every renderer betalist ;)
But any insights would be great.

Yes, I saw that, but I don't register to forums anymore just to find an answer that should be publicly available. I just loose interest really fast.....

Re: Thea Render: Open Beta
Most important question: How fast does it render? It's all nice to have impressive end results, but if the render times are still in the hours+ range for a simple lighting scheme, it doesn't help us during production ;) It's a nicely priced renderer though, although paying for the plugin is a bit odd.
