Re: Instancing Geo Randomly on grid
what I am interested in, and I hope its okay that I use your thread for that, how do I get something like "aniticipation" (or whats the correct name for that) on that seagulls. After the upward motion of the wave , the seagull still has force. How could that be done in ICE? Theoretical I w...

Re: Instancing Geo Randomly on grid
"instance shape" and choose your model.
add an "stick to location", choose "emit location" and uncheck "align to surface"
"randomize rotation by cone" and your done.

Re: ICE deformers...
you can change the overall scale there. I did insert that "scalar" node just to show on screen what value the "multiply by scalar" node has.

Re: ICE deformers...
thats again just one way, just play around with the nodes, plug them in different ports, ect.
oh and smooth the weights with the smoother to avoid bad seams.

Re: ICE deformers...
don get what you mean exactly...
actually the mesh stays and only where the weightmap is painted, will be randomized mesh.
I did set x and z to zero, so only y is affected.
but, tell me what you mean, maybe I can help ^^

Re: ICE deformers...
hehe, yea , rocket ship
exactly, if you click on that little "e" while hovering over the Turbulize Mesh, you will see, that my example is actually the same thing.

Re: Offset texture projection
hey, actually I dont like crosspostings :) But, I just found that post some minutes ago and thought, you could help me with this problem: I have an ocean plate (attached) that is part of an animation. Now I would like to repeat that on ONE grid with texture repeats. If I would do it just out of the ...

Re: MilanVasek wips
i started with icosahedron (sphere made of triangles) and extruded some polygons inside to make the path. then made some manual adjustments with tweak tool and then subdivided everything once or twice and applied simple randomize point position in ICE, but only to area defined by a weightmap. that ...

Re: MilanVasek wips
I have one more question to the planet shot
How did you shape the landscape? By moving points/edges/polys by hand?
Push on a plane and shrink the finished surface around a sphere?
Looks wired but cool.

Re: MilanVasek wips
wow, beautiful!
Would you share some Infos how you did the shading?
It looks like a mix of some techniques... very nice!
edit: I mean the images with the girl on the planet previous page, btw.
