Re: Status of monophyl and other Softimage blogs
As you may have noticed I haven’t had time to write any new stuff. Is there anything in particular you would like to learn in Houdini. I’m not going to pretend that I’m anywhere near as fluent in Houdini as I am in Soft, but I may have picked up a thing or two which may or may not be useful to some ...

Re: Status of monophyl and other Softimage blogs
I think you have a valid point Dave :) I’ve updated the signature… Thanks for spotting it. Just to clarify. I won’t remove any of the stuff on the old blog (at least not in an foreseeable future) but there’s really no reason to go there anymore. All the stuff has been copied and added to olamadsen.s...

Re: Status of monophyl and other Softimage blogs
A couple of months ago I said that caffeineabuse.blogspot.com wasn’t going anywhere. It turns out that might not have been completely true. The day have finally come when this blog will no longer get any updates. I want to thank everyone for all the emails, questions and comments I’ve received throu...

Re: Status of monophyl and other Softimage blogs
Obviously I can’t speak for all the bloggers out there, but I have no intention of taking down caffeinabuse. However, new articles will most likely not cover Softimage, apart from the uncalled for rants and comparison about how easily this/that/anything could been done in Soft.

Re: single instanced mesh and different materials ?
While the tutorials discuss how to use different textures for particle sprites, you can use the same procedure to change the materials on your instances.

Re: Caffeine Abuse
Hi, I'm not sure what it is you're asking for. The text and images are available on the blog and the project files can be downloaded from redi-vivus. There's a direct link in each of the articles so you don't have to search for them on your own.... Or are you asking if the material is available as p...

Re: 2 ICE tutorials @ Caffeine Abuse
I've got another bunch of ICE tutorials waiting to be published, but I have yet to find the time to actually do it. I do have video captures of most of the tutorials, but since there no audio you still need the written text to make any sense of it. For the reason that I just didn't think it would be...
