Re: Autodesk is going crazy?
You look at it from the wrong direction. For Autodesk, Softimage isn´t on par with Max and Maya. They seem to look at it more like being something like mudbox. A rather specialized companion-tool to their larger packages. Mudbox and Motionbuilder aren´t in that list as well. Max and Maya are playing...

Re: Human Head Experiment
Ok...after seeing her with texture and eyes i do have some things, that i think are off: The eyes look slightly too small for me. I don´t know, if thats anatomically the fact, but at least it looks like that. The lips, especially the upper lip is way to uniform and straight. The texture you got ther...

Re: Skin Shader Workshop
Try to check this with your own face or the face of people you meet. Usually its the area of the forehead and nose - known as T-zone - which are more specular, because most peoples skin tends to be more greasy and thus more shiny. Lips can also be an area of increased shininess because of several re...

Re: Human Head Experiment
Great progress. After your corrections in ZB i really start to like it. You were right with the proportions. Great changes! I would like to see her with eyes again to judge the face as a whole

Re: Illustrations for an exhibition stand
Thanks ;) It took approximately 2 weeks to get everything done. One Overnight-Shift was necessary before the final deadline to get everything done in time. :) Thanks for the hint with that error...too bad, that this text is "hardcoded" in the movie...don´t know, if we find the spare time t...

Illustrations for an exhibition stand
Hi i´d like to present you some work, that my partner (mtea) and i finished lately. These images where created on comission for a company. They gave us some rough concepts on how they wanted the images to look like and we tried to bring in our own ideas to make the most out of this concepts. Working...

Re: Mitsubishi_Evo_X_Tuned
Not bad...not bad at all :) Really nice work, though i see a few minor things her and there: - The wheels do not have enough room in the wheelhouses. If the car whips, the tires will definitely touch the borders of the wheelhouses. So i would lift the chassis some aditional cm. - The carbon creates ...

And there it goes...server down due to overload by mischievous individuals.... Whilst i understand your anger about this persons, i do have to ask again, why don´t you use an account-system with free registration + captcha during that to at least prevent quite a number of "automated users"...

Re: Redi-Vivus.com - Reloaded
I´m trying to get the current tutorial-offer....and i am trying it for the 4th or 5th time right now, as the download stops after a couple of minutes each time...sometimes after 70MB...sometimes after 500MB...
I hope that i will be able to get it today...but some doubts are arising...

Re: Redi-Vivus.com - Reloaded
First of all...thanks! Really thank you. I have to admit, that i doubted to see this site going online ever again, since it had been set to restricted access during the last year. But it´s great to see the wealth of great tutorials for free all online now. I´m still waiting for a day with a tutorial...

Re: XSI for arch viz?
I'm really sorry Luc-Eric, but I disagree with you, like many others will. Although Softimage/XSI was build with animation in mind, Archviz is a field a lot of us work in from time to time. Or all the time. The lack of proper materials, lighting tools, units, measurement tools, primitives, etc. in ...

Re: Craft Rig 1
thanks a lot. Finally a good rig to make my first steps in animation, as the XSI-CharacterRig-Sample doesn´t seem to be very good in my eyes..
I will definitly try do learn as much from it, as i can.

you got some pretty cool stuff in your reel. I really like it allthough i do find the music somehow anyoing after a while. But this is more of my personal taste then real criticism ;)

and how long did you work on this one?
I like the night-shot more. The grass is a bit too constant and equal to look convincing. Same thing with the floor tiles.
