Re: new addon released: emTopolizer 1.0
Thanks for the insights. The lack of speed of most of the build-in topology nodes is what prevents them from beeing usable in a real production environment in my oppinion. So I guess Topolizer is far from being redundant! And 3x speed increase plus memory optimization for the polygonizer is amazing ...

Re: new addon released: emTopolizer 1.0
Amazing stuff as usual! I've got some questions though: I seems like most of the topo compounds (like capping holes, thickenizer, shatterizer etc) do stuff that can be done already in ICE (with much more effort of course). So are these normal compounds which ease the use of ICE modeling or are these...

Re: UV Smoothing on Subdiv Objects
Good question... I've already intended to do something similar in ICE, but with a quick search I couldn't find any info how UV subdivision is done in C4D. You've got three modes for UV subdivision: standard - which works like Soft "smooth when subdividing" off boundary - "smooth when ...

Re: UV Smoothing on Subdiv Objects
I know this is very annoying. In C4D there are also options to fix this problem with one click. As you mentioned the most obvious way, would be to add additional edges close to the seams. Your model isn't very heavy, so that shouldn't be a big problem I guess? I have another workaround which I use w...

MM_ShaderTools
Hey everybody! I have a new plugin I wanted to share here: MM_ShaderTools is a plugin which helps you to batch replace, create or modify shaders in all your materials at once. This can save huge amounts of time, especially in later stages of a project. You can select multiple materials or lights and...

Re: Various useful compounds
Your're right, I've updated the download link with a new version which should work better. Don't know what kind of effect you wan't to achieve, but remember that if you turbulize the particles "on emission", your only modifying their initial position, so they won't move or anything like th...

Re: Various useful compounds
You have to activate "time varying", otherwise all partices are emitted on the same spot. It works the same way in the normal "Emit from geometry" node, only that it's on there by default...

Cluster to Weightmap As the name implies it converts clusters to weightmaps. Whats nice though is that it accept all types of clusters (point, polygon, edge) and adds the ability to grow and/or smooth the resulting weightmap. Remember that you have to create the weightmap before you create the Icetre...

Various useful compounds
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share some of my compounds here, which I recently posted on my blog. I really tried to make them work as flawless as possible but let me know if you have any issues or ideas for improvement.

Re: Mia Material Advanced phenomena
I've uploaded a new Version which fixes a small bug where shadows lost their transparency and color when using the rayswitch. @Daniel: in theory the only thing you need are the 32bit dll's for the mia material wrapper and the rraytype shader. You can download the rraytype shader over at rray.de , th...

Mia Material Advanced phenomena
Hey everybody! I wanted to share with you my modified version of the Mia Material. Since I had lots of problems with the standard implementation of the architectural material I decided to make my own version some time ago. I changed some interface flaws, included some utilities like the excellent RR...
