Re: Softimage Survival Pack 1.6
Hehe, back in the day I had a script at work which would randomly copy one of these into people's installations... https://get.google.com/albumarchive/102059352723691338935/album/AF1QipMyLPtpGu8gDTDKFNuecmMW2RdHz-cC5Xoy80lL https://get.google.com/albumarchive/102059352723691338935/album/AF1QipMSEWek...

Re: un-Deletable files?
Sometimes you are able to rename the file, and then delete it in these situations.

Re: Why an Indonesian studio choose Blender over 3ds
You may have a point on accessibility for third party developers, I always assumed that their lack of presence was borne more by economics and I believe we'll start to see that change. The Blender community has become huge and continues to grow, so it's only logical that third party developers will ...

Fair enough.
I would think you were the exception however. I'm sure it's user base is far greater post-integration, and if it were me developing it I'd be pleased as punch about it.

Re: Why an Indonesian studio choose Blender over 3ds
Sorry to sound blunt, but that is a terrible example. How were you or anybody else using Freestyle to render, practically speaking? Integrating it into Blender made it accessible and ensured the resources to implement a plethora of improvements. Why does everyone harbour such a caustic attitude towa...

Re: Why an Indonesian studio choose Blender over 3ds
Show me someone else doing anything *remotely* close to what they're doing and I'll support it all the way. I respect your opinion but as far as I'm concerned they put a tremendous amount of energy into developing this tool and frankly I can't paint any kind of scenario in my mind where this can be ...

"ALso.. the strange scene based append/link workflow" Personally, I see this as a great feature. "There's another, really serious problem with Blender development. If I'm correct, there is no (feasible) way to write a C++ plugin for Blender" As far as I'm aware this is simply not...

Re: Cubic Projection Asset like Softimage
Hi julca,
I mean that I can't edit the projection handle while I'm looking at, for instance, a UV Quick Shade node underneath it. I assume you have a material assigned and are looking at that in the viewport. Pretty much any node that has handles can have the manipulatable while looking at another.
