At first I tought that problem was in old scenes I was loading in 2012.... because render did not want to start, but now I see that I just did not wait enough

Linux problem UNC path when mi2 created on Windows
My problem is more OS oriented: Im trying to render file "house.mi2" on F11 using ray3. "house.mi2" file was created on Windows machine and textures are embeded. While trying to render on F11 using ray3 everything goes OK but output image file is not written on disk (file server)...

check out mental ray rendering settings in "Optimization".
You probably have enabled "Memory limit (mental ray)".

also I noticed that if you don't use -file_dir command ray3 is not
going to render your mi2 file if it is somewhere outside of xsi project folder.
