Re: OBJ+STL import export

Version 2
- progressbar fixes
- obj format should be much faster now (uploaded a debug version of the dll by accident last time resulting in >50% speed drop)

Re: Cycles for Softimage

Works good, much faster than the last version, especially when combining CPU+GPU. Great job this can keep up with the commercial renderes/plugins. Only small issue I could find is sometimes tiles are missing when rendering a region quickly @Bennyhase after I uninstalled the cuda toolkit on my Window...

Re: Photoshop question

Yes I would put the map in a layer with 50 % transparency so you can see the other map through it. Then transform tool (ctrl+t), then in its tool options use "warp" (middle icon). Choose "draw" to add points, then lock the points. After that you can move the points and try some options for anchor st...

Re: Photoshop question

Krita's got a warp too that seems alright you could put points on the cities and drag them to the positions on the other map. Rest should follow, more or less.

For perfect results you probably need some GIS Software like GlobalMapper.

Re: Photoshop question

Affinity Photo has something like this, you can set some points and later move them around and the picture along with them. Maybe you can use a trial.

I think I've seen in somewhere else but I don't remember where.

Re: Octane 3.0 RC1 for SI released :)

Very nice, that should open up possibilities.

Controlling the time of each instance using the ICE ShapeInstanceTime attribute would another huge step, but that's something Octane would have to support.

Re: Octane 3.0 RC1 for SI released :)

@juanloredo Image sequences work great indeed but getting sequence time from an ICE attribute instead of scene time probably won't work... might be possible to implement for objects but not per point/Instance because Octane itself only supports static objects for instances afaik. Sad to hear about R...

Fleshout anatomical fx service

Paul Smith provides a new interesting kind of service: He takes basic character animation from a client and runs it through a proprietary ICE based pipeline adding realistic looking procedural muscle and flesh animation to the mesh. The output is alembic again, which means the service does not requi...

Thank you for the rating Fx & Thanks Draise!
Can't take too much credit for the shader, I only chose the color the rest is the bronze preset in 3d coat doing its work.
