Re: Dual Quaternion rig scale

Yes sir, Static Kine for the Cylinder mesh is 1,0,0. I froze all transforms on the mesh (then freeze M) before enveloping it to the nulls. The only thing I did to the nulls is set neutral pose on translation.

Re: Dual Quaternion rig scale

Hey there Mathaeus. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I know this was stuff you worked on so long ago. This is the post I found with your compounds: http://www.si-community.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=399&p=2603&hilit=dual+quaternion#p2603 I have everything setup the wa...

Re: Dual Quaternion rig scale

Testing further. Scaling UP works. Scaling down does not. First image is scale of 1, then 9000, then .01

Dual Quaternion rig scale

Hey guys. I've been searching for a solution for Dual Quaternion scaling. All compounds that I have found with a 'scaling fix', does not work. My rig is under a null which does the scaling for the rig. I am enveloping to nulls instead of bones. Does anyone have a solution? Or at least a tip for me? ...

Re: Remember Me

I used Kristinka of course :) It is a basic follow curves setup. I just added an extra Execute port in the compound to allow modifiers only for the strands effected by the curves. Then I could boolean the modifiers on and off while laying out my curves. I also set the initial strand length to 0, so ...

Re: knit the strand

I am always using your tools in ways that they were never meant to be used.... But, is is possible to have the root and tip of the strands taper in size? I'm trying to make a piece of burlap cloth and was trying to get frayed edges. Can you say if this is possible? I would greatly appreciate any hel...

Re: Remember Me

Hey all. Thanks for the comments. Some more info; Cloth - Marvelous designer. Then zbrush Render - Arnold. Render is split up into about 30 different passes. So render time is really unknown. But my largest pass takes about 7 min. Not much else to it really. Just worked diligently on sculpting and m...

Remember Me

Hello. I wanted to share a personal project I finished recently. It is based off some concept art I found a while back. Just another personal project to practice character creation. Luckily Anto updated Kristinka while I was working on this. And, he gave some attention to the Curls option to help wi...

Re: OpenVDB to Softimage

Thank you so much for this amazing addition! I don't know where I would be today without the insane generosity of the XSI community. I am constantly overwhelmed! I spent the holiday weekend getting my FumeFX simulation from Maya into XSI. I finally got everything to work correctly. But, I am getting...

Re: turtle for texturing !

In my opinion. If you wish to learn how to texture, you should first start with a decent model. You need a lot more structure in your model to compliment the texturing effort.
