Re: Nice to be using Softimage again. But where is everyone now?

Phew, been a while since coming here. I'm using Blender through Bforaritsts and Unreal Engine these days. Blueprints and Geometry Nodes with some Sverchok in Blender helps my ICE needs.

Re: Unreal releases Blender to Unreal official tools

Been using this. Not a lot of control, and the new scene scale is a bit iffy, but it works. It's super minimal and quick.

Re: Softimage Garage | BforArtistsXT

I started taking a look at your latest changes, and made note of some key features that I liked. I am now pushing them to the Bforartists tracker, maybe some of your ideas will get to master!

Holy mother of... terragen has really leveled up. I remember the first iterations of Terragen years ago, it was nothing as real as this.

hahahahahaha thankfully it can actually be... It's GPL, even if the foundation dies, it would still be able to remain alive one way or another.

Btw, Envelope weighting in Blender is just HELL... how is it possible to do the things that uncofortablem, Softimage is just lightyears from blender on that.
I agree there, weight painting in Blender is not a fun experience.

Re: XSIMOD theme for Blender + Addons

Sure thing, man!! AS OF WEDNESDAY OF MARCH the 18th, XSI THEME has been included in the native themes in the Blender 2.83 version!! It went through an exhaustive scrutiny, not even I could've done it without the people developing for Blender. I am glad, because some of the things we natively had in...

Re: Softimage Garage | BforArtistsXT

BforA 0.9 came out like a day or 2 after the new Blender version was out, would you know methods or tricks that could help accellerate this process? Cheers Usually the merge happens weekly, on Sundays - but sometimes there are merge hiccups. Like right now, Blender 2.81a came out, but it also had 2...

Re: Softimage Garage | BforArtistsXT

Aha, started giving it a whirl and looking into the code. There are quite a bit of changes across the board, including a number of new documents for the UI. I'll have to really dig deep to then start merging some ideas to the master. I like what you did to the View Panel for the camera so far. I not...

Re: Softimage Garage | BforArtistsXT

Nice. Again... just curious, are you hosting this somewhere to access the code to compile it and see what's changed behind the scenes? is this also on Github? I can't really propose much to the Bforartists master if there are any changes to the C code.... or are you doing everything with Python on t...

Re: Blender release roadmap

It's focused on LTS, so that studios can get bug fixes without major new or pushed features - which I think is a good move. The number jumping per year is a gimmick though.
