Re: LivePaint plugin

One suggestion that comes to mind, it would be super awesome if this was merged with the tweek tool. The less switching back and forth the better. But I am sure this would not be easy task.

Matt

Re: LivePaint plugin

Ok, installed the latest c++ stuff from that link and it works. I just can't see the brush radius.

Re: LivePaint plugin

Arrgghh...getting the same error as other posted earlier ("// ERROR : Object expected - [line 1]"). I am on Windows 8. The previous version worked for me on Windows 7, so I must be missing something, or it is not compatible with W8. Frustrating as I would definitely use this in my daily wo...

Re: 2014 WISH LIST

Hey there, 1) symmetry mode which will respect topology changes, not just transforms. 2) ability to use Unfold on selections in the texture editor 3) ability to pack Uvs with a single click, not having to rely on Unfold. 4) a basic sculpt/paint tool, like Mayas artisan 5) more poly modeling function...

That is much clearer!

I know about elementalray, but never thought to look there.

Re: userIbl shader from mr 3.10

Hey guys,

So can anyone give a quick SI centric breakdown on how to use these two shaders? I found the detailed explanation on the last page a little confusing.

Also, what is the advantage of using these over the IBL solution in the ctrl ghost spdl?

Matt

Re: LivePaint plugin

Coming from Maya I really like this tool, too bad about the undo crash. All it really needs is symmetry, a push option and some bug fixes. Really makes organic modeling much more pleasurable.

Are you (the op) still working on this, or has it been retired?

Matt

Re: userIbl shader from mr 3.10

Thanks a lot guys! Is this the correct workflow? 1) I set up my environment as normal (rayswitch, environment blur, HDR etc). 2) I plug the userIBL node into the custom environment shader node for my area light. I plug the same HDR I am using for my environment into the userIBL. I do the same for an...

Re: userIbl shader from mr 3.10

I'm likely not the best one to answer this but what I did was just copy the script at the top of this thread, open the script editor in SI, paste it in there, save it and then rename it .spdl. It worked. There's probably a much better way. Did not work for me: I copied the op's provided text into t...

Re: userIbl shader from mr 3.10

Newb question: I understand how to install a spdl, but how do I get the code from the op into the .spdl format?

For anyone doing characters or hard surfaces this is a real time saver. Precise placement of bolts, rivets and buttons without having to use snapping. Thank you sir! ^:)^

Re: GoZ for Softimage at last?

The auto-install gave me the same error, but after manually installing the .addon everything is working as expected. No multiple instance if Softimage.
