by the way, this job was very funny for us, because it wasn´t just a normal job...we had to try a lot and so we learned a lot too:)

if i use archilight, than i have to use the mia exposure control, but how can i use a hdr now?

before mia expusure control i used environment as a pass shader and inside a hdr...what i have to change in the hdri that it looks like before

very often it works if your objekt have a thickness...there is a plugin for xsi..another one is a plugin to extrude by normals...if you have a thickness it is easy to create shader to have such this result...i did it in my last job

Hello, i´d had the job in university to write a documentation about the basics in xsi...one reason is, that my professor don´t have any ideas about it:) and the second one is, that i don´t want to write it all down in may bachelor work... chapters: - basics in xsi - modelling - lighting - materials ...

Tutorial for Compositing in fxtree(shadow, ao, cc, mc...)

so i´d made a video for the compositing in fxtree...i will explain how to compose shadow, ao in different ways (mc, cc for example)...i also explain how to make color correction on white objects, to give them the color finally in post, not in rendering for saving time... i wish you a lot of fun and ...

i took a look to both of them and ok they are nice but i prefer editing in post..more control...but if you want to follow the depth to a object the tutorials are very useful
