if Softimage only, IFX is still a strong and stable tool to do boolean ops.
just made a test with 1,75 mil tris and its like warm knife through butter ^^
and in SI its quite easy to make it at least semi automatic :)
took about 35 secs per op.

dont understand it, I am from waldorf school.. always need to have colors and so :D
but no prob, just doing it another way.

edit: okay, I found the "previous frame" node.
but where do I have to plug that now?
and do I have to divide it by current frame or something to get a middle value?

thx!

could you point in the right direction, how to compute the velocity between frame positions?

I actually do have another solution for my setup now, but always interested in how to do stuff like that. :)

hey CYTE, I already tried that - and its technically working... but since I have 3 dimensions, it will cut away alot of the parts that are in z/-Z achis and when the camera moves, I will just have artefacts in space :) but I found a nice solutuoin: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/xsi_list/uc...
