My old computer died on my a couple of months ago (had Softimage XSI 2010 installed).
Had to get a new computer. My user profile at Autodesk no longer shows Softimage as a licensed product.
Is there a way to generate a new license file?
Thanks

Re: Licensing XSI 2010 on a new machine
Thanks Hirazi, I'm up and running again.
Registering for a new network license at that link, even for 2010 works ok.
Although the download link to the later version of the Network Licensing tools (NLMIPv6Support_Win64) has disappeared. (Luckily, had a back up on a local drive.)

Licensing XSI 2010 on a new machine
Getting components to build new Win10 PC in the next couple of days. (new CPU, motherboard, HD, memory) I have a network-type license (Flex LM Tools) which uses a license text file. I've had this machine 10 years, so I've not generated a new license file for a new machine since I got XSI 2010. I can...

Re: Autodesk retires Softimage
Can a Softimage developer please leak the full source code on the day it finishes for good.
Time for a new blender that's a criminal offense.
Many thanks
Jason.

Re: Alembic for Softimage 1.0
Seems that Octane Render has been rebuilt from the ground up to better support animation and the alembic format:

Re: What if Softimage died?
The best 3d software that has yet to exist would consist of the following: 1. An ICEy core - essentially a completely extensible 3d visual programming platform. Everything from menu items to geometric primatives to artificial intelligence would be generated from ICE trees. You could then use this ba...

Re: Sun position plugin
Hi, I own 2010 and never upgraded so I was trying to use the "unofficial" kinematics part of that version to rotate the null like the plugin did. BUT I just couldn't get it to work. It seemed like I needed too many decimal places and ICE didn't seem to go to that degree. I could upload it ...

Re: Abobe CS2 Suite for Free = NOT
The only way you can be using legitimate software from Adobe is to have license key registered UNDER YOUR NAME or BUSINESS at the Adobe website. Even buying the box 2nd hand doesn't constitute a "licensed copy" (unless it's sealed and unregistered or has been deactivated via Adobe so it ca...

Re: Black Mesa Mod (my contribution - beware spolier!!)
Thanks for your kind words. I'm using Softimage 2010 x64 to do everything and x32 to export (exporter doesn't work with the x64 version). Workflow is relatively straightforward, it's while ago since I've done some work directly between the two systems but I had a lot of hoops to jump through. It's t...

Re: Softimage 2012 Experiences
"And when one's food is guaranteed, one stops going hunting" This got me thinking - what if Softimage shipped with full versions of 3delight, Arnold, V-ray and MR, all initially in demo mode. Once installation is complete the user can try any of them straight out of the box in demo mode f...

Re: Autodesk blocked development of third party XSI plugins
Joe, My conclusion was that he said: "Autodesk stepped in and now we are at a stop". And that was 3 years ago. BEFORE the acquisition. So in plain and simple terms: A competitor stepped in and a 3rd party plugin being made for a competitor (Softimage) was stopped. Now the conclusion I jump...
