Thanks. Mathaeus The snow emission was allot of fun to do. I used VOPs to calculate the reflection angle between the base normals of the snowbaords to the N of snow slope. Thanks again guys. Rork, scattering objects is super easy. We set up density attributes and use the paint SOP to isolate areas where we want it. Then you pipe that into a scatter SOP using the density attribute. Now you just use a copy SOP to instance the trees on them. Randomization can happen with...

Why do you think so? That is exactly what we are currently using it for. Everything we used to do in Softimage now gets done
in Houdini. :-o

We mainly do character animation driven commercials.

Houdini 15 seems to be more stable than H14. Had allot of issues with nvidia drivers in H14. Before that we tested Maya...had more crashes in a day than what we had in a year with Softimage. :-o

Mathaeus, have you done any testing on fur in H15?

Not Houdini 15, but proof that rigging is possible. Mantragora is a nice guy and very active on Houdini forums. I'm sure he would not mind to jump in and share his thoughts on this subject.

For example you guys have had no issue with constraints that Mathaeus makes reference to? Did you need to bypass the issue? How was it done? Maybe the way we build our rigs are allot different than how Mathaeus does it...not sure. I'm on my second rig now, and the animators had some questions here ...
