wau, nice!
I wish I could use it too.
I'm stuck with SI 2014 and Arnold 3.1. Guys, do you think there is a chance Autodesk would let me somehow upgrade to SI 2015?

Re: Creating a Valley in Softimage
Hi. I was in similar position with my latest freelance job and I ended up buying a license of World Machine (119$) and 3 months of Speedtree Cinema (200$). Looking at your pictures, I would probably skip worldmachine and just use real world height map: https://tangrams.github.io/heightmapper/#13.625...

Retopology tools
Hi. version 2018 finally convinced me to buy Zbrush and try some sculpting and I was wondering what are currently the best ways to retopologize meshes. I would love to use FESretopo directly in Softimage, but it's not working anymore. So, do you use Zbrush retopology tools, or maybe 3d coat, topogun...

Re: Simple flying, landing from geo to geo
what about something like this? https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/media_assets/images/images/000/203/519/large/states.jpg?1521203159 state 0 is directly in simulation root node, state 1 gets triggered by distance to the first goal and state 2 by time in state 1 there could be more elegant solution. i ha...

Re: new personal projects
Amazing! Makes me want to step through my monitor again, but it's not large enough ;) Btw I wondered is there a chance to make the pictures in this older thread of yours work again? http://www.si-community.com/community/viewtopic.php?p=56068#p56068 Unfortunately I can't do that. I moved my stuff to...

new personal projects
Hi. Here are some recent (and not so recent) personal projects I did in Softimage. I'm not sure if i shared those older ones here... Still experimenting with stylized look of the scenes. All rendered with Arnold (but i have to admit i started considering redshift again, when i was rendering that ani...

Re: MilanVasek wips
Hey. It's been a while since I posted something here. I use Houdini and Mantra at work now, but for my personal projects it will be Softimage forever :). I spent quite a lot of time deciding between Arnold and Redshift for rendering and last week chose Arnold, mostly because I will be stuck only wit...

Re: MilanVasek wips
thank you :) another projects, for fantasy and D&D fans :) (oh, i miss those days...) it's generated with ICE, controlled only by weightmaps on simple grid and several curves. I decided to use instances for the main land instead of geometry because of the small details on the edges and it is als...
