Re: "no batch license available"

It would be interesting to compare the PACKAGE and INCREMENT blocks in your license with those in the license that works (eg you have to find someone with the exact same Softimage version who is willing to compare the body of the license file). Because either your license is missing something, or th...

Is that feature in the license file? I don't have a MayaS bundle of my own to look at.

Re: "no batch license available"

Hi Is this Softimage 2015 SP2? I haven't installed that yet. Maybe it's a bug. SoftimageLicense.log shows only that xsibatch is asking for an unsupported feature, which we know from FLEXLM_DIAGNOSTICS is that 2016 feature. 2015 SP1 starts by looking for 2015 features, and then some 2016 features: 86...

Re: "no batch license available"

If you have a network license, it means that xsibatch cannot connect to the license server.

You can set FLEXLM_DIAGNOSTICS to 3 to get some more info about what licenses xsibatch is trying to check out, and from where.
%TEMP%\SoftimageLicense.log may help too.

Re: 2015 Service Pack 2 released

According to wikipedia, the R1 of that OS is based on Windows Vista and autodesk dropped Vista support years ago, so the installer probably blocks it. If you really want to have XSI on it and had a network license, you could install it on another machine, copy the folder over and run runone.bat and...

Re: Arnold for Cinema4D

Come on! Why they deleted the channel? All the presentations were there, I was watching the one about the guys nominated at the Oscar and wanted to watch the RealFlow one. That's lame from FMX/Maxon. But Arnold seemed very powerful and fast (but I don't know the spec of the machine). Technical diff...

Re: Arnold for Cinema4D

On a vaguely related note (as it doesn't specifically concern the Cinema4D plugin): Will the " the minimum order of 5 " restriction ever be lifted? Or will at least the statement "We will soon lift this restriction" be removed from the website, as the “soon” seems to have lost m...

Because that (your purchase) is an exception, not the rule.

Hi

The SItoA downloads are available; there was a glitch in the posting of the most recent update.

solidangle.com has been up for about 14 months.

Re: dropping subscriptions and versions

As I am forced to drop subscription soon, I have a small question concerning licensing: I understand I lose my previous version rights, but would this still allow me to continue using one specific previous version, for instance 2014 ( and none of the others ) or is the usage of the most recent vers...

Re: Softimage & Firewalls

As I am about to connect my "workstation" to the internet for the very first time, I have a silly question. My "workstation" has a single-server serving licenses to the same machine. This obviously will get hindered by the firewall. I found the following info: lmgrd.exe needs IN...
