Re: OpenVDB to Softimage

Hi, when I try to read in vdb smoke cache from Blender everything is messed up and I get a error message in the console: unsupported VDB file format (expected version 222 or earlier, got version 223) So, how hard would it be to port the ICE implementation to the latest openvdb version? I might try i...

Re: OpenVDB to Softimage

Did anyone try to build Oleg's openvdb_to_SI on linux yet? I'm making good progress, but my c++ knowledge is very limited at best and I have to modify some stuff that seems to work when compiling on windows, but my gcc is throwing errors. Here is the error I am getting now: http://pastebin.com/ptfYE...

Re: Resourcedump

This is my SI to AfterEffects Exporter. I use it once every two years and then it does the job. No guarantees though... You just create a group containing the camera and some nulls. Select it and run the script. A .jsx script is created that you can run inside AfterFX. It creates a new Comp with Cam...

Re: quickPrimitive

I don't have linux here, I can share source code If you can compile it. I think I'm not using any windows-specific functions My girlfriend is out of town over the weekend, so I am allowed to sit in front of a computer in my freetime :ymparty: . Hopefully that is enough to figure out how to do it. S...

Re: quickPrimitive

Would it be possible to do a linux-version, or is it too much tied to windows-stuff?

This looks too great for not being able to use it :/

Re: linux fedora 14 and SI 2011

Hi, to get rid of the install errors you have to disable SELinux: nano /etc/selinux/config ->disabled I think there is no trial-version for linux, so you have to either install a licence-server on your machine (given you have a licence), or connect to a licence-server which you can add during instal...

Re: blend between rigid and non-rigid simulation

Thanks for the answers! I just tried: IF StateID == 3 -> use rigid-bodies simulation, else normal and the other approach after reading origin's post: in the State3-compound substitute Simulate Particles with simulate rigid-bodies-particles Both seem to work as long as I have about 100 Particles... a...

blend between rigid and non-rigid simulation

Hi, i have a ICE-particle simulation and I want these particles to behave as rigid-bodies for some time and then go back to normal simulation. How would i set this up? I tried a new state (i'm using the state-machine for different stages of the simulation) with simulate-rigid-bodies plugged in, but ...

Re: WireD, rray-type, invertSurface and Tracer now 64 bit

Does anybody have a compiled version of rray-type for linux64 or can point me to some sort of shader-compiling-how-to for linux?
thanks a lot
